Well, it's been a long time since I last played Pangya, and well, I don't really follow Pangya news that often for quite some time now (I haven't even tried Wiz City yet!).

So that being said, from now on I'll just post the pictures of events and patch notes on Global Pangya server. Maybe someday I'll play Pangya again as actively as before.

World of Magic, Wiz City

This is a late update, and since I haven't been playing Pangya for quite sometime, I might be missing something.


Let's start with the major updates, this time another course has been released, Wiz City! This new course has lots of gimmicks in it. I haven't tried it out yet, though it seems this is a beginner friendly course. And apparently you can farm for Pangs easily in this course, just collect the huge pile of Pangs scattered around the course! Then there's spinning cubes, those cubes can be opened using Keys of Fortune. I don't know what's inside those cubes either, but I suppose those cubes will give you some random items. The Keys of Fortune can be bought in shop, but you can get those keys by another method, daily login.

The Wiz City's music is actually pretty catchy, and I once downloaded "Secret Wish" from Pangya JP, but it's of a different arrangement from the one in the .PAK files. Said music can be downloaded here.


For the events, the first one is the Sorcerer's Stones. Collect those stones, and combine them with the Spinning Cube from the new course, and you can get a Tattered Hat. This Tattered Hat can be upgraded using another 3 Sorcerer's Stones to get a Wizard Hat.


The next event is Arin's Birthday. As usual, discounts on Arin's items at shop, comets, birthday hats, and birthday title. And just like the previous' Arin's birthday event, they're selling another Gift Boxes. Those Gift Boxes will give you some rare items.

Continuing with Arin's Birthday event, for 4 days (14, 15, 16, and 17th November) the GMs will held an Arin Tee Party tournament room. It's basically the usual Tee Time but you have to use Arin's Birthday Title. The other one is HIO for Arin @ Wiz City. And it's just as the event name, use Arin (with birthday hat equipped), hit a Hole in One at Wiz City, post the video at the forums, and get some goodies.

Other updates include new Gacha Sets, and two forum contests. I won't bother describing the forum contests here, it can be read in detail here and here.

Trick or Treat!

It's Halloween, and of course Pangya is updated with the spooky theme of the year! There's quite a bunch of update, although almost all of them is Shop update, let's start!


Firstly, the non-shop updates! There are 2 event going on with this update. One is the Trick or Treat with Cadie. Simply login everyday (you might need to play a game or two) to get a freebie from Cadie, the items include a Seraph Halo for one of the character.


The second one is the same as the previous Halloween event, collecting boxes and exchange them for Halloween box. You can obtain Halloween Clubset and Chaos Horns from this Halloween boxes, so it's a pretty neat event.


Then there's the usual Gacha update, Gacha is now updated with Black Pepper Clubset and Nell's Black Pepper set. The set itself were already present since last year's Halloween on other servers, but since Global added Nell after Halloween, they're pushed back a year.



Next is the shop updates. There's quite a lot, although they're no different from last year's. Lots of Halloween themed clothes are being sold at Pang shop, and if you spent 40$ or more before 10/31/2011, you can get a Black Pepper Clubset. Clever, huh? GameRage wants you to spend more and more money for them!

And for a (major?) update, they actually updated the game's graphics engine!

The game will offer many graphical improvements such as smoother transitions between scenes, improved shadow & water effects, and improved rendering of characters and transparent objects.

Due to this, the requirement for Pangya is significantly increased, though not by much.

While the game may run on machines that don't meet the minimum requirements listed above, it is strongly recommended that you play on a machine that meets or exceeds these minimum requirements for an optimal gaming experience.

If you are playing on an older machine and experiencing latency, try lowering the graphic setting, or check the 'New Hit Bar' option located in Settings.

The 100 Hour Challenge

It's a pretty rewarding event this time! And bunch of updates too!


This time it's Nuri's birthday! The event itself is really simple, just play Pangya for as long as you can, and every time you reach 5 hours of gameplay, you get a prize. There's another prize for 25, 50, 75, and 100 hour or gameplay, which are pretty awesome. Nuri comets, birthday hat, and title are also being sold in Pang shop. Unfortunately, since I don't play Pangya that much anymore, I might just look for Nuri masks from other player shops.


For the updates, most of it are shop updates. First of all, Nell's Headset is now creatable in Cadie's Cauldron. The recipe uses Fragments of Time, of course.


Then there's Papel shop update, the reading glasses. This is so far in Global Server, the only normal eyeglasses for Nell, wonder when they'll add glasses on Pang shop?


Next is Gacha update, and now it's platinum gloves for all characters. They're basically the same as the previous Power Gloves, adding another maximum powerslot and 1 spin/slot.

Meteor Shower on Pangya Island!

It's a pretty big update this time around, although most of it are just shop updates.


For the first update, it's a new event! Just play Pangya as usual, and you'll get the chance of getting Fallen Stars randomly from the cups. You can exchange 3 Fallen Stars for one Solar Hat for one random character, or exchange 2 Fallen Stars with 1 Miracle Sign for one Stardust Powder! Those Solar Hats will 'wither' every day, turning them into Lunar Hats, that's where the Stardust Powder comes in, it will revert the Lunar Hat into Solar Hat.


Next up is Scratchy update, this time they're releasing Lucia's Project G outfit, Arin's Gothic set, Kooh's Blue Gymnasium set, and Hana's Tennis set.




Lastly shop updates, they're selling a whole bunch of things now! Starting from comet packages, Card Pack 10+1, Lucia's re-colored School set, and Signature outfits for 8 characters! Poor Lucia and Nell...

Pangya Pirates and Max's Birthday!

Another week has passed, another update has come!


For the first update, it's the somewhat Pirate-y themed event! For every 18th hole you played from a tourney or versus games, you'll get Pirate Coins! Those coins can be traded with items, and for those who are from USA/Canada, you can get a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas!


The second update is the minor Max's Birthday, login daily to receive 1 random Max Mask! And of course Max's outfits is on 30% discount sale, and comets, hat, and title are on sale on Pang shop.


Last update is the Dancer's set on Gacha! This set has actually been sitting for a long time in one of the PAKs, and they finally release this set.

Enchanted Nell's Gift!

Global didn't have any Nell event during the actual 16th of August, but they're holding the Nell's birthday event with this current update!


The event is the same with Korea and Japan's server, which is collecting Elemental Crystals from many courses and exchange them for 1 big reward! There are 4 crystals from different courses:
Aqua: Blue Lagoon, Pink Wind, Lost Seaway, Ice Spa
Breeze: Blue Water, Blue Moon, White Wiz, Sepia Wind
Earth: West Wiz, Eastern Valley, Ice Cannon, Shining Sand
Flame: Deep Inferno, Wind Hill, Silvia Cannon, Wiz Wiz
The Enchanted Elemental Crystal will net you lots of items as seen above!


Next is the actual birthday announcement, Nell's outfits will be discounted for a limited amount of time, and they're ACTUALLY selling the Enchanted Elemental Crystals on the shop! And there's Nell's birthday comet, Cut-In, and finally, Motion item!


The summoned being looks really cool, and interestingly, its name in the PAK files is "demonlord".


As for another minor update includes a Ranking System, now you can easily see which player are the best among every other players! Simply click the Ranking button next to Tiki shop! Although the ranking system is implemented in-game, I don't know if they'll implement the ranking system on their website soon.

2011 Swimsuits and Nell's Birthday

That's the end of the Spin the Whell event, now it's another batch of update!


Pangya Global really skips a lot of sets just to release the 2011 swimsuit sets! Any time you won a set, you'll get another special bonus set for 1 other character, and there's Lucia's "Ex-boyfriend" shirt too.


Next one is the Dog days of summer event again! Simply play on winter-y courses (Ice Spa, Ice Cannon, White Wiz) and the dog boxes will randomly drop on any holes! The boxes itself contains a Doggz, Fluffy Ears, or a Partial Scratchy Card. They're also selling Fido Ears and Doggy Noses for a limited time on the shop.


About shops, they're selling 2 new outfits for Kooh and Arin too. Those outfits will surely be sold in Points.


The last update is Nell's birthday on the 16th of August, but strangely his birthday isn't announced on the general announcement, but on the Global Cup page. There will be a cup held on Wiz Wiz, and everyone must be using Nell to participate in it.

I wonder if Nell's items on shop will get a 30% discount, or whether we'll get a birthday title, or those birthday hats...

Been a while since I last played Pangya, and I just played a couple of round today. Pangya currently have a rewarding event!
